Pakistani film star, Meera has claimed that she will give a better performance than the late Bollywood actress, Madhubala as the enchanting palace maid in a Pakistani serial, ‘Anarkali’. Madhubala had given a memorable performance as the stunning sweetheart of Prince Salim in ‘Mughhal-e-Azam’.
‘Anarkali’ is one of the mega-budgeted serials of Afreen Baig. He has produced highly acclaimed serials like ‘Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Main’ and ‘Chandni Raatein’.
According to a report, the mega serial is expected to be Meera’s best classic venture. The cast of the serial includes Babar Ali, Talat Hussain, Ayub Khoso, Mohini, Meher Rizwi and Azra Aftab.

Ali Zafar—looks like he’s here to stay! After immense success in the fashion industry of Pakistan with his stylish walk on the ramp, Ali switched and tried his luck in the TV industry. He quickly rose to the top after his brilliant comedic performance in “Preeto” the captivating Abrar-ul-Haq video. The latest Drama Serial being made on the love tale of Shahzada Saleem and Anarkali will be aired in January. This drama serial is directed by Farooq Mengal and written by Aqueel Ruby.
Talat Hussain has been aptly chosen to play the role of Akbar while Meher Rizvi plays his wife, Dilaram is being played by Mohini, grand daughter of General Yahya Khan and Babar is Shehzada Saleem. And of course, Meera plays Anarkali.

Recently released Punjabi flick revolves around four principle characters. The film directed by Madam Sangeeta is a mixed bag, with scenes inspired from many other flicks.
Shaan, the protagonist comes from a small village with his mother and sister to the city to get a job in a factory where his father served his whole life. In the city he meets Laali (Saima) who along with her gang gives protection to the locality. Saima instantly fall in love with Shaan as he saves her life from a rival gang. Saima tries to support the family in order to win the love of Shaan.
