A fabulous movie called ‘Fedora’ spoke about an ageing movie star’s fight against time. Secluded in an old villa, with only her mother for company, Fedora meets a young man whom she falls in love with. He marvels at how young she looks; only her hands give away her age. But, we learn at the end, that the old crone we know as the mother is actually Fedora. The woman we are told is Fedora is actually her daughter. And yes, her hands have been artificially aged to make the impersonation credible.

Banana is the perfect food and helps in slowing down aging. It contains virtually no fat and should be on your daily food list. Bananas are rich in vitamins, potassium, calcium and manganese.
Apply the following banana face pack.
Mash 1/2 of a banana and apply. Relax for a half hour and then remove with cool water. Bananas are rich in oils that will keep the skin from drying out.
If you are looking for an exfoliating mask, blend a mashed banana with white cosmetic clay and apply. This mask is both moisturizing and nourishing.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder but signs of beauty do not last forever. Advancing age often transforms what we perceive as attributes of beauty. For example, hair is considered to be one of the objects of beauty. Millions of rupees are spent every year by marketers and consumers alike to make hair beautiful. With age hair too changes and is no longer an object of beauty. What are these changes?
The most visible and obvious hair change with age is in the hair color. Hair color is caused by a pigment (melanin) that is produced by the hair follicle. With aging, the follicle produces less melanin.

It’s a shampoo, face scrub and hair remover powdered into one. There is more to besan or gram flour besides making great pakoras.
Though besan has been primarily used in the kitchen, it has other uses too. Gram flour or besan is considered safe enough to be used on an infant’s head during their first head bath. It even finds its place in solah singhar or the 16 steps that a bride uses to adorn herself. It is also supposed to be an effective depilatory. Apart from the above, besan or gram flour has many more uses.
